Program Coordinator (Site Director):

• must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or its equivalent; AND

• have or be enrolled in 2 semester credit hours in child/youth development and 2 semester credit hours in school-age programming; OR

• have the NCECC6 or its equivalent and BSAC10; OR

• have a NCECAC9 or its equivalent and BSAC10

Note: All program coordinators must have completed the required coursework or be enrolled in the coursework within 6 months after

becoming employed and must complete the coursework within 18 months of enrollment

Shall have completed all coursework required by .2510(b)(2); AND

(1) shall have completed 3 additional semester hours of school-age care related coursework and be enrolled in 3 additional semester hours

of school-age care related coursework; OR

(2) 600 hours of verifiable experience working with school-aged children in a licensed child care program; OR

(3) 750 hours of verifiable experience working with school-aged children in an unlicensed school-age care or camp setting; OR

(4) a Level 2 or higher certification12 on the SA scale14

Group Leader:

• must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or its equivalent and have or complete BSAC10 within the first 3 months of

employment

All shall have completed BSAC10; AND

(1) 50% of group leaders shall have:

(A) 300 hours of verifiable experience working with school-aged children in a licensed child care program; OR

(B) 450 hours of verifiable experience working with school-aged children in an unlicensed school-age care or camp setting; OR

Substitute:

Must be at least 18 years old and literate. Previous experience with children required.
